Join the Land-O-Lakes Classic Boat Club as we honor our founders, celebrate the boats and people who shaped our chapter, and gather for the 50th Annual Real Runabouts Rendezvous on Lake Minnetonka.
The 2026 season begins a yearlong celebration of the Land-O-Lakes Classic Boat Club’s 50th anniversary. The celebration centers on the 50th Annual Real Runabouts Rendezvous, the Lake Minnetonka event that helped launch the organization and continues to bring classic boating enthusiasts together.
The Land-O-Lakes Classic Boat Club exists because generations of members have cared deeply about preservation, craftsmanship, education, and the shared joy of being on the water.
As Minnesota’s chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society, the club promotes the preservation and enjoyment of antique, classic, and special interest watercraft of all types — powered and non-powered.
This anniversary year is a chance to recognize the founders, volunteers, restorers, sponsors, families, and boat owners who have made the club what it is today.
The 2026 Real Runabouts Rendezvous expands into a special anniversary weekend at Lord Fletcher’s Old Lake Lodge on Lake Minnetonka, with cruising, fellowship, awards, entertainment, and founder recognition.
The weekend begins with a captain’s meeting, a Lake Minnetonka cruise, a private group lunch at Al & Alma’s, and an afternoon poker run option for participants.
All club members are invited to gather at Lord Fletcher’s West Patio for a hosted happy hour. Show participants may check in early and receive Saturday slip assignments.
The boat show runs from 9am to 3pm at Lord Fletcher’s. Classic and antique boats will be displayed dockside throughout the day for members, guests, and spectators.
An evening celebration featuring dinner, drinks, entertainment, founder recognition, and the boat show awards presentation.
The weekend concludes with a breakfast buffet at Lord Fletcher’s followed by a fall cruise on Lake Minnetonka.
The Rendezvous has always been more than a show. It is a gathering place for beautiful boats, generous volunteers, curious spectators, and families who return year after year.
Volunteers keep events like this running smoothly and make the weekend enjoyable for entrants, members, guests, and spectators. This is also a powerful opportunity to introduce new people to the fun and camaraderie of classic boating.
The club has plans for commemorative merchandise to honor this milestone year. This page can also become the home for anniversary updates, merchandise announcements, sponsor recognition, historical photos, and member stories.
Members are encouraged to share old photos, restoration stories, memories from past Rendezvous events, and stories about boats, founders, and longtime club friendships.
